Welcome to Haddington and District Amateur Swimming Club

Haddington and District Amateur Swimming Club (HDASC) was established in 1975 and is a thriving, successful competitive swimming club, affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association.  We are based at the Aubigny Leisure Centre in Haddington, East Lothian and have swimmers from across East Lothian.

HDASC provides a friendly, focussed environment where qualified, experienced coaches help children to develop excellent swimming technique, learn new skills such as diving and tumble turns and improve their stamina, speed and fitness.  The Club helps children become the best swimmers that they can be, in a culture of fairness where confidence is built and individual progress is celebrated.

Children take part in competitions appropriate to their age/ability and these are a great opportunity for swimmers to try out their developing skills and support (and enjoy the support of) their team-mates.  As they progress, swimmers with the ability and desire to compete at higher levels are encouraged to do so and Haddington swimmers regularly compete at District and National levels.

New entrants to the Club are typically aged 7-10 years and normally join the Minnows squad. Older, more accomplished swimmers are accepted subject to there being a place in the appropriate squad.  Click here for details of our Squad Structure and Training Sessions or look under "Training" in the navigation bar to the left of this screen.

The Club welcomes new members and taster sessions are held on the last Friday of every month at 6.30pm or by arrangement with Head Coach, Vivian Hastie.
