Competitions - Kit 

  • Swimming costume or trunks.
  • Towel - more than one if swimming in several sessions.
  • Cap - Haddington Club cap should be worn at all competitions involving other clubs.
  • Goggles plus one extra pair - properly adjusted with swimmer's name on strap.
  • Poolside clothing:
    • Flip flops or clean trainers
    • T-shirt to keep upper body warm. Large size for freedom of movement. Club ones available (see Kit section).
    • Tracksuit trousers to keep legs warm.
  • Food - Take all food and drink that you will need with you. Take food that will be easily digested - no chips, cream cakes or fizzy drinks!  Do not eat just before you swim. Normally no eating allowed on poolside. A water bottle with water or diluted juice can be used on poolside. No glass bottles for safety reasons.
    SWEETS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOOD BEFORE OR DURING A COMPETITION!
