Social/Fundraising events We plan to run a couple of events to help subsidise the forthcoming French Exchange trip, which takes place in July 2012. Details are shown below and both are open to ALL members of the Club. TRIP TO M&D's THEME PARK (www.scotlandsthemepark.com) on Monday 4th June, cost £25 per person. To run this trip we need 6 adult helpers to help on the day. There is no charge for adult helpers. Pick up from Aubigny Sports Centre 9.30am Arrive at M & D's 10.45am Depart from M & D's 4.00pm Arrive at Aubigny Sports Centre 5.30pm
FAMILY BBQ AND DISCO at the North Berwick Scout Hall, St Baldred's Road, NB on Saturday 23rd June, 6pm to 10pm. Mark and Susan Anderson (of Anderson Butchers) have very kindly offered to supply sausages, burgers and rolls. Tickets £5.00 per person or £15.00 for a family of four.
Vacancy - Kit sales We need someone to take over Club swim kit sales - could you help? This would -ideally- mean you being at the pool in Haddington most Wednesday and Friday evenings during, or at least at the end of, the Minnows squad session. (Most sales are made to swimmers in this Squad)
Aquathlon, Friday 1st June This is a new competition organised by the Club and the Haddington and East Lothian Pacemakers, as part of the Haddington Festival Week. Have fun, support the Community and your Club and maybe even win a medal! Information can be found here - Aquathlon Info. An Entry Form can be found in the ALL SQUADS INFO file in the dropbox. Please e-mail your completed entry form to Viv at HeadCoach@swimhaddington.co.uk. We will need a lot of parent help for this, for marshalling and timekeeping. Club Hoodies and Kit bags now available to order As these items are specially made for us, they are only available to order twice a year. The good news is that you can do so now! Samples will be available for you to see/try on over the next few Wednesdays, 6-9pm in the cafe at the Aubigny Centre. You can pick up an order form on Wednesdays or download it now by clicking here on Order Form. Orders must be returned to Gwen Watt or Jackie Crawford by Wednesday 16 May.
Scottish National Age Group Championships Congratulations to the East Lothian Swim Team swimmers who took part this year, in particular to the following Haddington swimmers - Emma Crawford, Thomas Brogden, Murrin Dalrymple, Andrew Edwards, Robert Ogilvy, Matthew Thomson, Mike Thomson, Joanna Whitelaw and Finlay Williamson. Generous donations made to the Club Leisure Time Sports in Haddington, LSC Tuning and another sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous, have kindly funded 30 club kit-bags enabling us to make £600 for the Club's funds. A huge thank you to them all! In addition, Leisure Time Sports are offering all members of the Club 10% off all swim products purchased in the shop.
A simple way to earn funds for the Club - A link to the SwimShop site has been added to the Kit screen. Please check this out - you could earn the Club 10% on your swimming purchases!
