We are looking forward to returning to the water in the near future and plans are being finalised in line with Government and Scottish Swimming Guidance to allow our swimmers to do so. We’ve been eagerly counting down the days and in the very near future our swimmers will return to the training, interaction and outright fun they have sorely missed in recent months.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to invite new members to make contact using the ‘Contact Us’ form below. Our Head Coach Demi is already organising ‘Tryouts’ and would love to welcome new swimmers to our family. It’s not all about competitions, it’s about being the best you can be!
Welcome to Haddington & District
Amateur Swimming Club
HDASC is a thriving competitive swimming club, based at Aubigny Sports Centre in Haddington. We have swimmers from Haddington and across all of East Lothian.
At HDASC we believe anyone can be a competitive swimmer. We are dedicated to creating an environment that nurtures the enjoyment and enthusiasm of every athlete within our club, through a safe, positive environment.
We want to empower our athletes with a sense of personal integrity, based on fairness, equality, respect for others and the acceptance of rules.
HDASC provides a fun, friendly, focused environment where qualified, experienced coaches help children to develop excellent swimming technique, learn new skills and improve their stamina, speed and fitness, supported by a positive mindset.
The Club and the coaches help children to become the best swimmers that they can be, in a culture of fairness, where confidence is built and individual progress is celebrated.
We celebrate improvement in technique as well as achieving personal best times. Having the confidence to join in a competition, is just as important as any medals gained.
We are inclusive, supportive and encourage individuality. We value health, good nutrition, fitness, sportsmanship, citizenship, honesty, respect, hard work, discipline, teamwork and fair play.
Our club strives to instil and develop these life qualities and values through our coaching, our participation in competitions and events, and through the sport itself.
“I’ve loved seeing my son’s confidence, self belief and resilience grow since joining the club as well as his technique. He has great fun and has developed a love of swimming and sport which will last a lifetime”
More Than Just Swimming
HDASC is not just about swimming – we hold social events too. The club doesn’t just want to create great swimmers, but turn out well-rounded individuals, who have the self-confidence, and the self-esteem to find their way in life.
The club strives to give the swimmers a sense of belonging and achievement, and friendships made in the club can be lifelong.

We’d love to meet you!
Our trusted coaches are more than instructors, they are there to guide swimmers through their training and support the swimmers as they endeavour to be the best swimmer, and the best club member they can be. Coaching is about developing the whole person, not just the swimming.
